Abstract
With the development of technology and urbanization, extensive projects are designed and implemented, and some of these projects must be implemented in unfavorable geotechnical conditions. When an earthquake occurs in such conditions, the mutual effects of the soil and the structure are important and the behavior of the system is important. It affects structures significantly. The effects of the soil interaction of the structure show the differences in the response of the structure in the case where this response is calculated assuming that the movement of the foundation is equal to the movement of the free field of the earth, compared to the response of the structure considering the modified or real movement of the foundation, and these differences are characteristic The movement of the free field of the ground depends on the properties of the structure and the flexible support (adjacent soil and under the foundation). One of the main topics in the design of heavy and hard structures with deep foundations, such as coastal platforms, tall buildings, and nuclear power plants, is the interaction between the soil and the structure. However, in the dynamic analysis of structures, it is often assumed that the soil under the foundation is rigid and the interaction effects between the soil and the structure are used. In this case, the response of the structure is only affected by the dynamic properties of the structure itself, and the flexibility of the soil has no effect on the response of the structure. In this fact, the response of the structure is affected by the dynamic properties of the soil, foundation and structure, which contradicts the assumption that the soil under the foundation is rigid. Soil-structure interaction occurs as a result of earthquake waves passing through the soil-structure system.
